Roselawn Sand Goblin 2008

I have to admit it is kind of difficult attempting to recall all of the details of this race because I am writing this story a week and a half after the race.  I know, I know, what the hell have I been waiting for, right.  Well I have had a lot of important stuff to do, like mow the yard, clean my bike, and watch TV.  But there is one thing that I do remember, how gosh darn cold it was that day.  Let me tell you there was no bogging because the bike was running too rich that day.  Although I did check my plug the other night just to see how white it was, actually not to bad.  I was surprised.  Not to mention any names, but a couple of the guys didn’t have such luck (Duey and Pope).  The result was them pushing their bikes out and replacing the piston the week after the race.  The other thing I rembember is how great the trail was.  Luckly, this race consists of a lot of sand and soaked up most of the rain that fell the 40 days and  40 nights prior to the race.  I think we acctually seen Noah building an Arc on our way to Roselawn.  Oh ya there is one other small detail I remember, I got all the OB’s.  Ha, ha, ha.

Through out the day Pete, Dean , and I were never more than a couple of minutes apart through any section and we always got to hang out at the resets.  It is always a good day when you get to hang out with your friends.  Ryan had great ride coupled with a little bad luck that may have cost him the overall, losing by only 1 minute to Dan Janus.  Nice ride Dan.  Smooth also had a nice ride and from the sound of it was happy with his new bike.  We ended up pulling the pin before the awards and talked about all the race details on the way home.  Another great race at Roselawn is in the books.
