Places to Ride South Dakota (Black Hills)

Black Hills There is gold in those hills!!!!  Maybe not gold but there is some good riding.  Duane Eller, Brian Dixon, Randy Knox, and crew made the journey and reported back that, yes, there is good riding in the Black Hills.  They were riding around the Nemo area and said that it helps to have local knowledge as most of the trails are unmarked.   Below are a couple of links to local area clubs and facilities to contact for your riding trip to the Black Hills.   Below is Duey's take on riding in the Black Hills. "There are good trails there… If you have a trail guide.  At this time it is kind of like a large scale BRF of 10+ years ago.  The locals know where to go… But if you went out there with the intent of riding, and have never been to the area before, you would have a VERY tough time finding the trails and would be disappointed.   Unfortunately, I think the forest service has already started closing down some of the free lance riding and I do not see the future of off riding in the BH as having a very good future.  The gang from Minn, that have been riding these trails for 10 + years appear to realize this also… But there does not appear to be much of a grass roots effort to ‘map the trails’ for forest service acceptance.  It will be interested to see where this goes in the next couple of years."
