Oaks Riding Park, Keithburg, IL
This is one of those areas that is tough to find any information about. It
is a small riding park just south of Moline, Il. It
consists of mainly sand and sparse oak trees. It is open year round and I
believe costs $5/day to ride. This is a good
area to ride early in the year as it normally drains fast. See below for
directions from Moline.
-Get on hwy 67 at the Milan exit
-follow 67 to Viola
- turn right at the lights( or stop sign) onto hwy 17
- follow 17 to Aledo
- turn left at the second stop light ( next to the courthouse)
- follow this road 6miles to 20th Ave. ( you will go past the H.S. and 2 golf courses)
-turn right on 20th Ave.
- Follow 20th Ave. through Seaton and on to 100th St. , real close to 9 miles
-Turn left on 100st St.
- follow for 4 miles and and Sandy Oaks will be on the right , you'll see a sign
Stop at the building near the entrance to sign in and just follow the
sand road back into the woods.
