Product Review 2008 Sahara Gear

Moose Racing 2008 Sahara Gear 2008 STEALTH SAHARA GEAR What do you get with hard work, engineered components and quality materials…no not a piece for the Space Shuttle but something just as important to us racers and riders: A near perfect set of riding gear. This past weekend I race tested the 2008 MOOSE RACING Sahara gear in what was quite possibly the hottest weekend of the year….laterally! With temps hovering in the mid 90’s and humidity levels that made you sweat just standing there, it was perfect testing weather! THE TEST: In a world that finds most products price point going up at a disproportionate rate in comparison to our paychecks there is some relief, as for 2008 MOOSE RACING was able to maintain the same  pricing structure from 2007…sweeeeeetttttt! Yet with holding the pricing they were able to implement a new v-neck micro mesh collar and open back mesh panels in the jerseys. The glove has new welded finger coverage areas allowing the glove to breathe that much better. Pants sizes are available in all the normal sizes. So enough about all that jazz….does the gear work? Well as in years past, once you wear vented gear you never go back to regular gear until the late fall or early spring! So a big fat YES to the does it work question! This years gear breathes better than last years and looks awesome in my opinion. The color scheme certainly stands out as being the 2008 line which is always fun when you get new gear, there is quite a bit of white in it which may show dirt quicker than a darker color. My guess is that it used in an effort to maintain coolness....and not like Tom Cruise in Top Gun cool…but real body temp rise (IE dark colors magnificent ability to soak up the suns rays and transfer them directly to the body). As always, MOOSE RACING has asked TEAM P&G OFFROAD RACING to provide honest test results and not church up areas that we find to be problematic just to sell product, they believe in their products and want their users to feel the same. Trust me, once you try this gear you will be hooked! IT WORKS! PERIOD. Rating: 99/100 (Why not a perfect score…just because of the white in the gear that gets soil stained quite easily and if that is the only down side there is not much of one!)
