July Product of the Month
That's right, we have tested it for the 1st half of the year and we have a new product of the month. It is the Moose Racing M1 Roost Shield.

Excerpt from Speedy Pete's Review
"I am bit, shall we say bulbils in shape, so I was not sure this would fit tight and provide the level of shielding I have come to know and trust in the XCR unit. Fit well it does, nice and tight. After hitting some trees, falling off and just generally putting the M1 deflector thru its paces (on purpose of course) I must say that I have shelved my XCR unit and rode exclusively with this new product from the brand."

D16 Hixton HS
Rain, Rain, go away....What is up with all the rain? really! So about 2 weeks ago my wife said she was leaving, (just for the weekend) and told me I had the house to myself. So like any good husband I told her how I would miss her and all that stuff and promptly started to plan a 2 day dirt bike adventure. It started with a trials event on Saturday at Polo, IL, and yes it rained the whole night before. The course was wet but surprisingly not a disaster. From there I headed up to Speedy Pete's new "Rancho ala Speedy" (I think that is spanish?) to complete some super secret tire preperation for the D16 Hixton Harescramble the next day. The next day we woke to you guessed it, more rain. Smoothy showed up, threw the bikes in the trailer and off we went. The race start was at 1:00 pm and just around 12:30 the clouds broke and the sun came out. So not only was it going to be wet and muddy, it was also going to be hot and humid. Great! All and all looking back it was good fun and a solid weekend of dirtbiking.

Pearson Enduro and HS (Speedy Pete Race Report)
The h.s. on Sat was very fun. The dirt was perfect, you could actually
smell it while your rode..you know what I mean!
H.S. Results:
Matt Harrington
Scott Daubert
Pete Laubmeier
John Strangfeld
Jamison Statchel
( I missed the cut off to do another lap and I just hate that, missed it
by not much too...dang it). Matt and Scott rode a good race and they were
real consistant.
Enduro:
Pete Laubmeier 32 (Grand Champ)
Matt Harrington 34 (Overall A)
Kiel Mueller 34 or 36
Jamison Statchel (not sure about this one.)
Dick Burleson was there and that was a nice surprise for the the riders,
and he of course ate it up.
There was a bit of a fuck up and about 17 people cut of about 4 miles of
trail. There was not an OB and they got back on the trail but a bunch of
them burned the check. I know the top three rode the trail, Duane did and
a few other top riders did. DB missed it too. I was happy I rode it, but
I had to go back to find the trail and then I was PISSED and put the hammer
down bettering Kiel and Matt by 2 in that section....i wish I rode like
all the time. After that I was cooked and had to ride the A section like
a spode. Johnny Strangfeld went thru there the fastest and got an 10 and
Kiel, Matt and me went 11.
I finally got that picture of Bryan Burleson (dixon) and Dick Burleson.
Brian did not have his super glasses on but at least I have the picture,
I will get it to you to post! Will the real Dick Burleson please stand
up?
It was a super first effort for that group (the Kaczmorski group). First
time putting on an enduro and I thin they did super, sure there are things
that can be improved but all in all it was good.

Rumor has it this was a great race. Beautiful weather and great terrain. I had the oppurtunity to break the trail in the day before the race but was unable to race. Check back in the next couple days for the race report from Speedy. There are some cool pics of the race at: http://spiderwebmxpics.com/2010_racing.php
