First Ride of The Year
Man, I don't know what it is about the first ride of the year that makes you feel like a kid again. Just being on your dirt bike, rippen through the trees, sunny with temps in the mid 60's. It doesn't get any better. For some, there is no first ride of the season as you may have the luxury of riding year round whether it be on the ice or you live in a climate that never see's snow. For you guys, I hope you experience the same feeling some time through out the year that trully makes you remember why you love riding dirt bikes.
This past weekend a small group of us got to experience Links Offroad
Resort, or should I say Freeman's Offroad Resort, who is Freeman???? Anyways,
The group consisted of Charlie Eller, Deano Breci, Brad Ren....(Can't rember
his last name) sorry Brad, and Smudge. Link took us out on a 60 mile ride
on Saturday, and on Sunday we did some exploring and got in another 40
miles before saying our good bye's, enjoying an after ride beer and pulling
the pin by 12:30. It was a great weekend, Link's got a great place, if
you haven't been there, you need to go. I know I will go back. See below
for a link (no pun intended) to his site (Freeman's Offroad Resort)

I know, I know, it has been awhile since we updated our site. Seems like winter provides a little bit of down time to spend with the family, catch up on the honey do list and earn some points to go racing for the upcoming season. This down time though doesn't seem to last to long as most of us are getting ready to head south for some winter riding or studding up our tires to ride on the ice or the frozen terra firma. Either way you look at it, if you a true blue dirt bike junky you never really take anytime off. Man, I love this sport!
Updates:
New Enduro - For those that haven't heard there is new Enduro on the block. Tom Farris and Enduro Pilot is putting on a closed course enduro in Zwingle, IA. I believe it is going to be D16, D17, and D22 points. The race is scheduled for 11-Apr. If you haven't ridden there before, it is spectacular terrain. Tom is looking for anyone that is willing to help out, especially the day of the race. If you are available and willing to help email Tom at Tom@EnduroPilot.com
WFO Schedule - Looks like Ron and Stan have their schedule posted for 2010. Check it out below. WFO Schedule
Geneseo Enduro - We are on the schedule for 26-Sep-2010. At this point we are planning on running the same format as last year, looking to get back some land we lost by the Rock River, and looking to make one of the sections an A/B only section. More to come as we get closer.
